Sliding glass doors, sidelights, and skylights all need different window coverings. Skylights
The two things that make skylights challenging are that the window treatments need to operate on a horizontal surface, and you need to be able to open and close the covering from the ground. Duette® Honeycomb Shades are a great option because they provide a layer of insulation and the side channels keep them securely inside the skylight frame. You can even equip Duette® Honeycomb Shades with PowerView® Automation for easy operation. Somner® Custom Vertical Blinds and Vertical Solutions® Vertical blinds are both great options that offer a wide variety of color and texture choices.
Sliding Glass Doors
Vertical blinds have always been the obvious choice for sliding glass doors, but there are several even better options in the Hunter Douglas lineup. Duette® Honeycomb Shades are available with a Vertiglide™ operating system if you want energy efficiency. Provenance® Woven Wood Shades are a significant causal option, while Skyline® Gliding Window Panels create a more sophisticated look. Luminette® Privacy Sheers are a great option if you want more light control, and they pair well with Silhouette® Window Shadings on adjacent windows.
Sidelights
These narrow windows that run next to doors are often overlooked because people believe they are too narrow for a window treatment. That isn’t the case. Duette® Honeycomb Shades are a perfect solution as they can be cut to narrow widths. Luminette® Privacy Sheers are also a great option, especially for taller sidelights. If neither of those options fits with your sense of style, Vignette Modern Roman shades are also available in narrow widths.
Arches and Half Moons
